Basketball Game Preview: Washington Academy Raiders vs. Bucksport Golden Bucks

The Washington Academy Raiders will take on the Bucksport Golden Bucks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Washington Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Hermon and fell 47-45. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bucksport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Ellsworth, falling 65-45. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

Bucksport's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Washington Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Everything came up roses for Washington Academy against Bucksport in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 64-36 victory. Does Washington Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bucksport turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
