West Bend West and Cedarburg are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

West Bend West is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Waukesha West just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 2-1. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wolverines since Saturday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cedarburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Homestead by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Cedarburg walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 18-25, 25-20.

West Bend West's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Cedarburg, their win bumped their record up to 19-10.

West Bend West beat Cedarburg 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
