Preview: Massac County Patriots vs. Murphysboro Red Devils
The Massac County Patriots and the Murphysboro Red Devils will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Massac County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Murphysboro likes a good challenge.
Even though Vienna scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, Massac County still came out on top. Massac County took down Vienna 77-63.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Massac County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Harmon, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Hosman, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Murphysboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freeburg.
Massac County is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Murphysboro, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
