Baseball Recap: Wise Comes Up Short

Wise lost to DuVal back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pumas came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-6.

Kian Lee was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Wise's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Reed, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Wise has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for DuVal, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

As of now, neither Wise nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
