Soccer Recap: Belleview Comes Up Short

Belleview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Citrus Hurricanes. That's two games in a row now that the Rattlers have lost by just one goal.

Belleview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Citrus, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4-1.

Belleview will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Weir on January 7, 2025. As for Citrus, they will be home for the holidays to greet Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Citrus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
