Green Mountain came tearing into Monday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Skyview Wolverines with a sharp 63-41 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Wolverines are ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kantyn Pearson went supernova for Green Mountain, going 10 for 17 on her way to 23 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Cockrum, who posted 14 points.

Green Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyview only racked up nine assists.

Loss or not, Skyview got some senior leadership from Nevaeh Lucero and Yzabella Tafoya. Lucero scored 14 points and six rebounds, while Tafoya had 11 points.

Green Mountain pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Skyview, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Green Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-33 victory against Golden on the 15th. As for Skyview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 40-20 win against Aurora Central on the 14th.
