It was a good run, but Naperville Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Charles North North Stars. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Redhawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jamie Saran was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Natalie Lau also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Naperville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for St. Charles North, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-3.

While Naperville Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
