The Twin Lakes Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Twin Lakes made easy work of Rensselaer Central and carried off a 13-3 victory. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Twin Lakes got a massive performance out of Mason Brummett, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The Indians are 4-1 when Brummett posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Dold, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Twin Lakes kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 11.6.
While Lafayette Jefferson didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Lafayette Central Catholic on Friday as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bronchos.
Mason Pechin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Ethan Lane was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Lafayette Jefferson pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Twin Lakes, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Twin Lakes has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lafayette Jefferson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
