Football Recap: Ellwood Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ellwood Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were outmatched by the Zion Chapel Rebels and fell 44-0. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

As for Zion Chapel, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.0 points this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Zion Chapel to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Foster Hamm, who rushed for 91 yards and one touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 19 yards and one TD. Joeb Bradley was another key rusher, gaining 26 total yards and two touchdowns.

Ellwood Christian and Zion Chapel will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles will square off against rival Maplesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Zion Chapel is set to face off against their familiar foe Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
