Baseball Game Preview: Clover Hill Cavaliers vs. Midlothian Trojans

The Clover Hill Cavaliers will challenge the Midlothian Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Clover Hill is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Monacan on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 11-1. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Chiefs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Clover Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Rose, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Midlothian and Powhatan meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Midlothian took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Powhatan.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clover Hill fell to 2-1. As for Midlothian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
