After a string of six wins, Brusly's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 8-5 to the St. Charles Catholic Comets. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Comets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brusly's defeat dropped their record down to 24-4-1. As for St. Charles Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Brusly and St. Charles Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Brusly (ranked 23rd) will meet Tara (ranked 211th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Charles Catholic will take on Riverdale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday up 104 places (38 vs. 142).
