Volleyball Recap: Wawasee Takes a Loss

Wawasee lost against Westview back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Wawasee lost 3-0 to Westview.

Wawasee took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 27-25.

Their offense was headlined by Jadyn Klenke and Ava Mock, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Hadley Allen and her 16 assists. Klenke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Westview can attribute much of their success to Briana (Bri) Kaufman, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Kaufman has posted over her last five contests.

Wawasee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Westview, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

Wawasee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Concord on the 18th. As for Westview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against DeKalb on the 16th.
