Basketball Recap: Savannah Savages vs. Chillicothe Hornets
Savannah unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 62-46 fall against the Chillicothe Hornets on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Savages of the 57-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.
Chillicothe got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sol'Jier Allen out in front who went 7 for 11 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance also gave Allen a new career-high in field goal percentage (64%). Jaishon White was another key player, going 7 for 11 en route to 21 points plus six rebounds.
The win got Chillicothe back to even at 2-2.
