Basketball Recap: AGWSR Comes Up Short

AGWSR has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 36-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grundy Center Spartans on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 50-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

AGWSR's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Grundy Center, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

When AGWSR and Grundy Center next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. AGWSR will square off against Hudson and their three-game winning streak at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grundy Center will try to stop Gladbrook-Reinbeck's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
