Basketball Recap: Keegan Mulloy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Palmer Ridge over Lewis-Palmer

Palmer Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lewis-Palmer Rangers. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keegan Mulloy, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave Mulloy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Boyer, who put up 15 points.

Lewis-Palmer can attribute much of their success to Jacob Lowe, who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Cole Hughes, who had ten points.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-8. As for Lewis-Palmer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Palmer Ridge will venture away from home to face off against Air Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lutheran will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Lewis-Palmer surely won't give up without a fight.
