Football Game Preview: Spring Valley Vikings vs. Rock Hill Bearcats + Official Tickets

The Spring Valley Vikings will square off against the Rock Hill Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Valley has given up an average of 32.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring Valley is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight games on Friday. They lost 34-8 to West Florence. The Vikings were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Rock Hill earned a 16-7 victory over Catawba Ridge two weeks ago.

Rock Hill found their leader in sophomore Kaleb Wright, who picked up two sacks and made 12 total tackles.

Rock Hill's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Wright was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Wright is crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Rock Hill got some further help from McCoy Questelle: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Rock Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Spring Valley was dealt a bruising 44-7 loss at the hands of Rock Hill when the teams last played back in September of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Vikings were down 28-0.
