Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) beat St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Buffalo, N.Y.) 56-7 on the strength of
Billy Fessler, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Fessler to
Felix Manus-Schell in the first quarter, the Ramblers led 42-0 at the half.
Cathedral Prep grew its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. CP's lone score in the quarter came on a kick return touchdown by
Jake DeHart.
With the win the Erie school extended its winning streak to seven games. Cathedral Prep defeated McDowell 45-17 last week.
St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard pass from Tyler Hill to Connor McKenna in the fourth quarter.
The Ramblers had given up an average of 10.8 points prior to the contest. St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's seven points were well below their season average of 31.2 per game.
The loss comes after St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute defeated St. Francis 27-20 last week.
