Softball Game Preview: Monrovia Wildcats vs. Covina Colts

The Monrovia Wildcats will head out to square off against the Covina Colts at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Monrovia and five for Covina.

Monrovia came up short against San Dimas on Saturday, falling 14-1.

Monrovia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Myers, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Covina came up short against Santiago on Saturday and fell 4-1.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Covina, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Monrovia skirted past Covina 3-2 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monrovia since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
