Softball Recap: Gillespie Miners vs. Pana Panthers
While Gillespie put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pana. The Miners put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Miners have beaten the Panthers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Sadie Sholtis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
