Football Recap: Beyer Starts off Right with Win over Riverbank

Beyer took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Riverbank Bruins a 20-0 shutout. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Patriots just coasted through the last quarter.

Beyer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriella Garcia, who picked up 97 receiving yards, and also rushed for 33 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Heaven Oliver, who rushed for 42 yards and one score.

Riverbank is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Beyer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-6 defeat against Sonora on the 27th. As for Riverbank, they have also already played their next matchup, a 33-20 victory against Oakdale on the 26th.
