Baseball Game Preview: Hazen Highlanders vs. Redmond Mustangs

For the first time this season, Hazen will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Wednesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redmond Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Hazen might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-5 to Skyline, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Redmond and Juanita had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Redmond fell just short of Juanita by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Redmond saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah McMahan, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that McMahan snagged this season.

Redmond dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hazen, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
