Volleyball Recap: Park Hill South Finds Home Court Redemption Against Kearney

There's no place like home for Park Hill South, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Kearney Bulldogs on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

While Park Hill South might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Kearney scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-20.

Park Hill South found their leader in sophomore Devree Coughlin, who had 17 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, Coughlin is now averaging an impressive 12.2 assists per game. Vada Brattin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Kearney's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jane Martens, who had 17 digs and one assist, and Payton Rudd, who had 15 digs.

Park Hill South's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Kearney, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
