Volleyball Recap: Pierce County Comes Up Short

Pierce County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Valdosta Wildcats. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Valdosta scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17.

Pierce County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Pierce County has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Perry on the 9th. As for Valdosta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Thomas County Central on the 7th.
