It was a good run, but Mound City unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 29-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Platte Bluejays. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mound City's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for West Platte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mound City Panthers challenge the DeKalb Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. West Platte has already played their next contest (against South Holt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
