Macon County is a perfect 7-0 against Central since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Macon County will be strutting in after a win while Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Macon County will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points back in September, then bounced right back against Marion County on Friday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 40-20 victory. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 34-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-6 defeat at the hands of Schley County. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.

Macon County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Macon County strolled past Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 19-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
