After flying high against Cambridge Christian last Tuesday, Chisago Lakes Baptist came back down to earth. Chisago Lakes Baptist suffered a tough 58-34 defeat at the hands of St. Francis Christian on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Chisago Lakes Baptist has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Chisago Lakes Baptist saw an underclassman step up: Mariah Cave dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Cave is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Becca Cave, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
Chisago Lakes Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for St. Francis Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Chisago Lakes Baptist on the road again on Friday and play against Woodcrest Baptist Academy at 4:45 p.m. on January 26th. As for St. Francis Christian, they will be playing at home against Valley Christian Academy at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday.
