Baseball Recap: Blountstown Victorious

Blountstown won the last time they faced Rutherford and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Rams. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Terrell Williams made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2025.

In other pitching news, Hunter Fiser looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Daniel Pope was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Blountstown's record is now 14-8. As for Rutherford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blountstown will take on Altha at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rutherford, they will square off against North Bay Haven Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
