Basketball Recap: Princeton's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Princeton was feeling good fresh off their 73-32 takedown of Evansville Bosse on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 50-40 to the Evansville North Huskies on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Princeton lost, don't look at Ailie Taylor. Despite the final result, she went 9-for-15 on her way to 25 points. The game was Taylor's fifth in a row with at least 15 points.

Leading Evansville North to victory were Zhaeyana Cooper and Lexi Scott. Cooper almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards, while Scott posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave Cooper a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooke Silva, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Princeton fell to 3-1.

As for Evansville North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-44 loss against Heritage Hills on the 18th.
