While Croatan's win against White Oak wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Croatan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over White Oak on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Croatan's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for White Oak, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Croatan will challenge rival West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Croatan 1.7, West Carteret 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, White Oak is set to square off against their familiar foe Swansboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
