Baseball Recap: Leland Takes a Loss

Leland blew Lincoln out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Lincoln got their revenge. The Chargers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Chargers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Leland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Canter, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

With the loss, Leland broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

While Leland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
