The Newport Grizzlies will face off against the Upper Columbia Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Newport lost 9-2 to Davenport on Thursday. Newport have struggled against Davenport recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Upper Columbia Academy came up short against Freeman on Thursday, falling 5-1.

The Lions' goal came courtesy of Katie Michaelis, which was the first she's scored this season.

Newport now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Upper Columbia Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Newport couldn't quite get it done against Upper Columbia Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 5-3. Can the Grizzlies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
