Adena proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Piketon Redstreaks. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Adena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Piketon, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.

Adena and Piketon are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Warriors will head out to challenge Meigs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Adena's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marauders have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Piketon, they will take on Eastern in a tournament on Wednesday.
