            Volleyball Recap: ConVal Cougars vs. Hanover Bears        
        
		
        
        
            ConVal faced Hanover in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bears by a score of  3-2. That makes it the first time this season the Cougars have let down their home crowd.
 ConVal took Hanover into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-19, 19-25,  16-14.
 Hanover was led to victory by  Olivia Grabinski and  Hudson Cusimano.  Grabinski  had 35 assists, while  Cusimano  had ten  blocks, eight  digs, five  kills,  and two  aces. That's the most  digs  Cusimano has posted  over her last six  matches.  Casey Wilkinson was another key player,  getting 15  digs.
ConVal's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hanover, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. ConVal is set to  take on  their familiar foe Somersworth  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Hanover will  challenge  rival Milford  at 6:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.
