Baseball Recap: Clover Hill Comes Up Short

If Clover Hill was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Matoaca on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clover Hill Cavaliers lost 11-1 to the Monacan Chiefs on Tuesday. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Chiefs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Clover Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Rose, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clover Hill fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Clover Hill will square off against Cosby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monacan, they will be playing at home against James River Midlothian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
