Soccer Recap: Northside Methodist Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland Home last Tuesday, Northside Methodist Academy came back down to earth. Northside Methodist Academy fell just short of the Providence Christian Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Providence Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on March 1st.

Northside Methodist Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. Providence Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6-1.

Northside Methodist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ariton at 5:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Providence Christian, they have already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Long on the 22nd.
