Basketball Recap: Chicago University Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Chicago University, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Francis W. Parker Colonels by a score of 69-60 on Friday. The Maroons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colonels, too.

Francis W. Parker lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Miles Johnson, who posted 20 points, to go along with six boards and three steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brady Harris, who had 19 points.

Chicago University's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Francis W. Parker, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Chicago University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-39 loss against Chicago Hope Academy on the 9th. As for Francis W. Parker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-40 win against Timothy Christian on the 7th.
