Basketball Recap: Ruby Singer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin County over Connersville

Franklin County lost against Connersville back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Franklin County Wildcats lost to the Connersville Spartans on the road by a 60-46 margin. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ruby Singer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiffany Billman, who posted 13 points.

Serenity Pennington was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 14 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds for Connersville. Addison Jones was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Connersville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Franklin County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-6 win against Hagerstown on the 18th. Connersville has also already played their next contest, a 41-25 victory against Muncie Central on the 18th.
