Recap: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Central Gwinnett Black Knights
The Collins Hill Eagles lost against the Central Gwinnett Black Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Collins Hill fell 47-35 to Central Gwinnett. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Collins Hill has scored all season.
Collins Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paris Fillingame, who scored 12 points along with two steals. That was a full 34.3% of Collins Hill's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Imari Brewer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Collins Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Central Gwinnett, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Central Gwinnett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 920 points over their last 13 matches.
