Baseball Game Preview: Ledford Panthers vs. Oak Grove Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Ledford will face off against Oak Grove. The Panthers will welcome the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ledford's offense. They came up short against Oak Grove on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

For Oak Grove's part, Carson Everhart made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Everhart a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Terry, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Grayson Messer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Oak Grove's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Ledford, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
