Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Pewaukee's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Pewaukee won the last time they faced Marquette University and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pewaukee Pirates walked away with a 71-58 win over the Marquette University Hilltoppers. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 153rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pewaukee has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Marquette University, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Pewaukee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-77 loss against Greendale on the 4th. Marquette University has also already played their next contest, a 68-62 victory against Brookfield East on the 4th.
