Softball Recap: Rock Hill Comes Up Short

Rock Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the McKinney Boyd Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 back in March.

Aliyana Sanchez led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Tisha Singh also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for McKinney Boyd, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Rock Hill has already played their next matchup, an 11-6 defeat against Plano East on the 8th. As for McKinney Boyd, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Plano on the 9th.
