Holcomb is 10-0 against Ulysses since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Holcomb Longhorns will head out to face off against the Ulysses Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Holcomb has four straight wins, Ulysses has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Holcomb didn't have too much trouble with Lakin as they won 54-39. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Broncs are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ulysses took a blow against Scott on Tuesday, falling 62-30.

Ulysses' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Holcomb, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Everything went Holcomb's way against Ulysses when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Holcomb made off with a 65-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holcomb since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
