Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to the Cortez Colts. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Dons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cortez, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coronado wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Yuma on the 31st. As for Cortez, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-11 loss against Tempe on the 31st.
