Softball Recap: Onaway Comes Up Short

Onaway managed to slip by Grayling the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cardinals lost 13-1 to the Vikings on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Cardinals couldn't push the score so high this time.

Onaway's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grayling, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Onaway has already played their next match, an 8-7 loss against Johannesburg-Lewiston on the 22nd. As for Grayling, they will face off against Boyne City at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Ramblers at the right time seeing as the Ramblers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
