Softball Game Preview: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Calvert Senecas

The Old Fort Stockaders will head out on the road to face off against the Calvert Senecas at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Old Fort is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Old Fort came up short against New Riegel and fell 7-3.

Abbi Ward was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Calvert unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-3 to Danbury.

Calvert saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison King, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another was Alyssa Rishty, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Old Fort, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Old Fort might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Calvert when the teams last played back in April. Can the Stockaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
