Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Titans vs. Washington Union Panthers

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nipomo walked away with it. They blew past the Washington Union Panthers 3-0 on Tuesday.

While Nipomo might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Washington Union scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

William Hidinger paced Nipomo's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hidinger got some help from Chase Spicer and his 36 assists. Spicer was also a major player on defense: he and Alex Cortez shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Nipomo's win bumped their record up to 20-14. As for Washington Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-21 record this season.

Nipomo has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Reedley on the 8th. Washington Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
