Basketball Recap: Isaac Henry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lutheran Northwest over New Haven

Lutheran Northwest lost against New Haven back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lutheran Northwest Crusaders took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Haven Rockets. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Henry, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 14 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Henry a new career-high in field goal percentage (64%). Andrew Kasat was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Lutheran Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for New Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Lutheran Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Haven, they will take on Arts & Tech in a tournament on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (New Haven has won three straight at home, while Arts & Tech won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
