Cornwall Central had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Middletown on Monday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Middie Bears. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

One reason for the win was Cornwall Central's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-8.

Cornwall Central's win bumped their record up to 34-5-4. As for Middletown, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14-1.
