Basketball Recap: Resurrection Catholic's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Lumberton came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Resurrection Catholic, but Simeon Ballard wouldn't allow it. The Resurrection Catholic Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lumberton Panthers 37-35 thanks in part to Ballard, who posted seven points in addition to 15 boards and five blocks. Ballard is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Schnoor, who scored seven points along with six boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Resurrection Catholic and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Lumberton, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Resurrection Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-40 defeat against East Marion on the 30th. As for Lumberton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-60 loss against Enterprise on the 31st.
