Soccer Game Preview: Morro Bay vs. Cabrillo

Morro Bay is 1-7 against Cabrillo since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Morro Bay Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 6:00 p.m.

Morro Bay is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Orcutt Academy a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Cabrillo was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. They and Lompoc finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Cabrillo's draw gives them a new season record of 3-12-3. As for Morro Bay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8-1.
